Video Tutorial: How to make a DTX simfile

If you are interested in making your own DTX file but aren't sure how to go about doing it, this video is for you. To see the video more clearly, select HQ (high quality).

To begin you must have the following:
GDA Creator*
DTXMania*
Drum sound files*
An image editing program (e.g. Photoshop)
A sound editing program (e.g. Adobe Audition / Audacity)

*These are available in the GDAmania Files section
under accessories.

Thats awesome, thanks!

I'll be giving that a shot tonight :).

Can I ask what you used to record the video?

Also, in anticipation of my next question after giving this a shot... I've heard there's some difficulty with songs that change BPM... do you have any tips on how to do this?

Ah ha... just having my first attempt now... and yep... annoyingly this song changes tempo slightly.

To answer my own question (if anybody else is reading this)... click the column named "BPM" where you want the change to happen, and give it the new bpm. Duh.

This is great, but I don't really know what to put on my notes because I never learned drums and... well, yeah.
At the last part of the video, you said that you are going to distribute the file, Forever Love - X japan, right? I'm a big fan of X-Japan, and I want it so could you send it to me, please?
My e-mail is zll73@naver.com
I appreciate it so much and I hope you saw this comment.

Hello, again!
I have your X-Japan - Rusty Nail file and it's the original version.
But I decided to change the music into the last live version. So, first, I downloaded your Rusty Nail file, and opened the DTX file of your Rusty Nail, which has all notes and stuffs in, and instead of putting your music in, I put my last live version music. I saved it, and put it in my DTX Mania folder. The music isn't playing!!! But your Rusty Nail's music goes sooo well. What's going on? Can't I just revise the music?

P.S. I was unable to find GDA Creator in your GDAMania files, so I downloaded DTX Creator from your GDAMania files.

Oh, yeah, Just more information. Sorry that I'm bothering you :(
Your Rusty Nail DTX file was unable to open so
I pressed right button on your dtx files -> properties -> Change(Opens with) -> Wordpad

And, as you said on the video, I changed
#WAV 01: rustynai -> #WAV 01: rustynail(which is mine)

Thanks
